Release Date Platforms

SILENT HILL: Townfall is an upcoming release. Konami set the worldwide date as September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Digital Deluxe pre-orders unlock 48 hours early on September 22, 2026. Steam’s product page may show 23 September 2026 because of timezone. That is not a second launch and it is not a delay. If a recap site quotes the Steam card, check this page before you rearrange your week.

The game is single-player. PlayStation listings describe one player, offline play, DualSense vibration and trigger effects, and PS5 Pro Enhanced. It is single-player, with no two-player display and no online hunt. If a search result promised Xbox, Switch, or a Roblox port, it is looking at a different product. This wiki tracks the three confirmed storefronts only.

For bonuses and how to actually check out, use the pre-order guide. For a side-by-side of Standard versus Deluxe, open editions. PC owners should confirm system requirements before launch week. Official storefront URLs sit on links.

The two clocks that matter

Deluxe digital — September 22. Anyone who pre-orders Deluxe on PS5, Steam, or Epic is scheduled to play two days before the worldwide date. Steam may label that window “Advance Access” and shift the printed day by a timezone. Count 48 hours before September 24, not whatever local store card looks convenient.

Everyone else — September 24. Standard digital, Standard physical PS5, and any Deluxe copy that was not pre-ordered for early access follow the worldwide date. Physical discs exist for PlayStation 5 only. Deluxe has no disc; it is digital-only on every platform. Some EMEA shops wrap a SteelBook around a Standard PS5 box as a retailer extra. That does not change the launch day.

Preload windows, when storefronts publish them, usually sit a day or two before each unlock. Treat preload as a download, not as permission to start the campaign. If you care about disk space, PS5 digital listings have hovered around the low-50 GB range for the download itself, while PC asks for 75 GB of SSD space in the official spec sheet.

Platforms, one by one

PlayStation 5. Digital Standard, digital Deluxe, and physical Standard. Beach Edition CRTV style is a PS5 exclusive pre-order cosmetic. Quality (30 fps) and Performance (60 fps) modes were described in official PlayStation coverage. DualSense gyro is used to fine-tune weak CRTV signals. This is the only platform with a boxed copy.

Steam (app 1636440). Digital Standard and Deluxe. Pre-purchase is live on the Steam store page. Full audio is English. Interface and subtitles also cover French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Screen Burn recommends a controller. Windows 11 x64 and DirectX 12 are required; Windows 10 is not on the sheet.

Epic Games Store. Same two digital editions. Pre-purchase lives on the Epic Townfall listing. Bonuses match Steam: CRTV Style: Rusted on Standard pre-orders, plus Deluxe extras and 48-hour early access. There is no Epic-only story content.

Konami’s regional pages and the official Townfall site are the source of truth if a storefront timestamp disagrees with September 24. Bookmark the updates hub through launch week in case a day-one patch or preload note lands.

What you are buying on that date

Townfall is a full-length, self-contained first-person psychological horror game set in 1996 on the fictional Scottish island of St. Amelia. You play Simon Ordell, who is called back to “put things right.” Screen Burn Interactive (the Glasgow studio formerly called No Code) developed it. Konami and Annapurna Interactive co-publish. A first clear is estimated at 10 to 14 hours. Five endings exist; three can land on a first run, two wait in New Game+. That structure is spoiler-light on the endings overview.

Ratings already published around the pre-order wave include ESRB Mature, PEGI 16, USK 16, and CERO D. Those labels describe blood, strong language, and violence. They are not a difficulty setting. Preview builds used Story, Normal, and Nightmare combat/survival sliders plus a separate puzzle-hint toggle. Pick those in-game, not at checkout.

How we got to September 24

The project was teased in October 2022. The first proper trailer played on February 12, 2026 at State of Play. The date itself was announced at the June 2, 2026 State of Play, when pre-orders opened at Standard $49.99 / £44.99 / €49.99 / ¥7,480 and Deluxe $59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 / ¥8,580. Hands-on coverage in July 2026 and the 18-minute gameplay film on August 20, 2026 did not move the day. The gamescom cast trailer on August 25, 2026 introduced more of Richard and the ensemble; it still pointed at September 24.

If you are planning a first night, read getting started after you lock a platform, then controls so DualSense haptics or a keyboard layout are not a surprise at the docks. Footage of Shorefront — the marina stretch shown in trailers — is ordered on the walkthrough. News that is not a date (studio features, soundtrack, cast films) lives on trailers.

Until September 22 for Deluxe and September 24 for everyone else, Townfall is still upcoming. This page will stay on those two clocks unless Konami publishes a change.
